SteatoSITE has delegated ethical approval to allow researcher and commercial access after application to the Scientific Advisory Board.

Histopathology

  • Whole-slide scans (x20) of Haematoxylin and Eosin and Picro-Sirius Red stained sections.
  • NASH-CRN NAFLD Activity Score (NAS) and fibrosis stage; Steatosis, Activity, Fibrosis (SAF) scores; modified Ishak score assigned by Consultant Histopathologist panel (National liver EQA members).
  • Percentage steatosis and fibrosis determined by application of machine-learning pixel classifier using QuPath.

Transcriptomics

  • Successful RNA-seq data on 712 cases.
